The Integra is designed to insert a variety of documents into a magazine or folder cycling at up to 4000 filled items per hour. Different models are available depending upon the size of the item into which the documents are being inserted, ranging from 8.25” x 4” up to 9” x 12.5”. The book feeder will feed up to 0.25” thick, with the option to increase this to 0.375”. The standard insert stations handle items from 7” x 3.5” up to A4 with a maximum thickness of 0.125”.

Various end feeders can be added to feed and fold cut sheet or continuous forms, with or without reading capability and giving the choice of folding separately or nest folding. OMR (optical mark reading), barcode, 2D barcode or OCR (optical character recognition) are all available to facilitate batching of the prime document, selection of inserts, matching with insert stations, divert filled envelopes before sealing, envelope marking and mail sorting.

  • Touch screen control of station selection and output speed. The display screen also provides
     run information and error location.

  • The insert feeders have miss, double, and jam detection.

  • Completed work from the machine is delivered onto an output shingling conveyor or an on-line  device can be added for one-pass-finishing such as a polywrapper or enveloping head, using the KAS  Mailmaster 465HS.

The Integra when combined with the enveloping system (the KAS Mailmaster 465HS) creates a completed solution so that the filled book or folders can pass directly from, the integra to the inserter head, adding further inserts before final insertion into an envelope.

This machine can be used as a multiple feeder system for almost any poly wrapper on the market, whether one chooses to insert the material inside the magazine first or not. The equipment’s durable construction means it is ideal for long runs, while its ease of set-up and quick changeover also make it ideal for short run work. Hand feed positions can be added in case there are more inserts than automatic feeders on a particular job, or because a particular item to be inserted is simply not suitable for an automatic feeder.

There is an on-line position to allow for further equipment to be added up-stream. For example, a KAS Fast Sheet Feeder with reading capability may be required in order to select inserts before inserting into the book or folder.
